Sanatorium Du Basil

The Borgoumont Sanatorium (also known now as the Sanatorium du Basil) was built as a tuberculosis sanatorium in the early 1900s. It was operational from 1903 to 1947, apparently hiding Jews amongst the TB patients during WWII.

the sanatorium became redundant. For a few years the building functioned as a hospital and between 2010 and 2013 refugees were taken care of here. Because of the towering energy bills the building then closed its doors and the building became the target of vandalism.
