Industry Trains

To reach the trains, we had to carefully cross over an old, abandoned railway track. It felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by the remains of heavy industry and forgotten transport routes.

The site housed numerous industrial locomotives, many bearing the Cockerill Ougrée name. This Belgian company was renowned for producing robust shunting engines that served industries across Europe and beyond.

One of the trains actually still worked after a few tries, I managed to start it up! It was an incredible feeling to hear the engine come to life after so many years of silence.

I captured stunning drone shots of the site, showcasing its vastness and decay. Unfortunately, the drone crashed during filming. You can watch the footage on my YouTube channel via the red button at the top.
