Water Pump Station Exterior
The water pump station played a crucial role in keeping the steelworks operational. Large amounts of water were continuously pumped from the Meuse river and filtered before being distributed across the site. Cooling systems, boilers, turbines, and blast furnace equipment all depended on a stable water supply. From the outside, the scale of the installation reflects just how much water the industrial process required every single day.

Pumps and Filtration Systems
Inside the station, massive pumps and filtration units handled the movement and treatment of water throughout the complex. The pumps maintained pressure and circulation, while the large filters removed sediment and impurities from the river water before it entered sensitive systems. Without these installations, cooling circuits and steam production for the power station would not have been possible.

The Old Agglomeration Plant
This building originally served as the old agglomeration plant, where fine iron ore particles were processed into sinter for use in the blast furnace. Agglomeration improved airflow and efficiency inside the furnace by creating larger, more uniform material sizes. After the agglo facility lost its original function and production moved elsewhere on the site, the structure was repurposed as a transit and routing area for materials moving through the factory complex.
