Known in the urbex scene as the “balconies,” these platforms sit high on the injection central, almost at roof level. Originally, they were used for inspection, maintenance, and monitoring of the installation. Due to their sheltered position and height, they also offered a unique place to stay overnight during explorations, with direct views over the blast furnace complex.

From here, it becomes obvious how the injection lines are routed toward the blast furnace. Seen from the injection central, the blast furnace dominates the landscape. This perspective shows the physical proximity between the fuel injection system and the furnace itself.
