Cokerie Anderlues

Cokerie Anderlues

The First Coking Plant

The Anderlues company was created in 1858 and extraction began the same year with wells 1 & 2.

The first coking plant was installed in 1904. It had a capacity of 90,000 tonnes with a tar and sulfate plant. The installation is built near the central wash house. A power plant will then be added to this complex.

New furnaces

New furnaces were built in 1906 with a capacity of 900 tons. In 1908, the coking plant produced 74,000 tonnes of coke thanks to two batteries of 26 Coppée recovery ovens.
